09/12/2013 · Before you start playing either Civilization 2 Test of Time or Multiplayer Gold, you should install the official patches. For Multiplayer Gold, download and install the patch available here. For Test of Time, use the patch available here. The Test of Time patch isn’t needed if you have the Civilization Chronicles version of the game. Download the “sid-meier-s-civilization-ii_window-04r4.zip” and extract it where you can easily find it. Civ 2 uses an older .bin disk image. You may need to convert it to .iso. My recommended program for converting .bin to .iso is WinBin2Iso. It's free and does not have a maximum file-size for conversion. The Test of Time Patch Project (ToTPP) by TheNamelessOne is a reverse engineering mod that fixes bugs and adds new features to ToT. Included is a no-CD patch.
